The 5LS is the result of Citroen’s splitting of its model line-up into two channels: it’s ‘C’ badged cars for more everyday, price-driven offerings and its more premium, design-centric DS models, which have formed a ‘fully fledged brand’ in China. Now, Toyota is about to take another expensive punt on new technology, this time with the launch of a hydrogen fuel cell car in Japan, the USA and Europe in 2015. The numbers won’t be huge, but they will be significant.
